Tablecloth: a detail.
It started as a tablecloth purchased for $3 from the trash & treasure market held at the Coburg drive in. I won the $3 as part of a bet on crowd numbers at the first Melbourne FC game of the year - I guessed closest. It was possibly the highlight of the day (thanks Melbourne FC! Onya keep up the good work... in fact... maybe don't. Maybe try something different. Some oomf maybe? Some training from a country women's netball team?)

The scribble.
A scribble and a few choice cuts later it is becoming a new thing... a quilt! Tansi approves. She thinks the tablecloth brings out the ginger in her tabby hide and will go very nicely under her comfy spot on the bed. Even when it is folded up and placed out the way it is still a worthy cat landing pad apparently.

Piecing together some bits.
I really love the mix of textures between the linen, the grey cord, grass green homespun and pinky stone coloured fabric of unknown origins. I hope it's raw silk. It has a beautiful drape. There is also some jade coloured polyester - not my normal speed of fabric but it is a vintage piece purchased out of a scraps bin at a vintage fabric shop in High St Northcote.
